Meet Tracey F. Levy, OTD, OTR/L

Tracey graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Determined to further her education and passion of working with children, Tracey relocated to Nashville, TN where she received a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Belmont University in 2012. Tracey has spent the past eight years gaining experience and working in various clinical settings including acute care (adults and pediatrics), outpatient pediatrics, and skilled nursing. While working with pediatric clients, Tracey grew disappointed at the minimized approach to providing individualized care. Knowing that children and their parents deserved so much more, SPROUT was born.
Tracey has taken several continuing education courses relating to pediatrics with a focus on intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders and sensory processing disorders. Tracey utilizes a sensory integration frame of reference to treat children with issues /problems related to motor coordination deficits, handwriting difficulties, picky eating / food aversions, ADHD, autism, or sensory processing disorders. Tracey finds creative and effective strategies to teach her clients (and parents) ways to improve different challenges in relation to motor planning, coordination, attention, sensory processing and social behavior.
As a pediatric occupational therapist, Tracey is passionate about helping children excel in areas such as play, self-care, sensory feeding, academic tasks and social interaction.
